SEWING ADVICE:
Due to its stretchability and unique surface, it's recommended to use a special stretch or jersey needle when sewing Stretch Velvet. A fine, elastic thread is ideal to maintain the fabric's stretch. Because of the velvet's pile direction, ensure all pieces are cut in the same direction to ensure consistent light reflections.
APPLICATIONS:
Stretch Velvet is particularly suitable for elegant garments like evening dresses, tunics, skirts, or tops. It's also an excellent choice for theater costumes, dancewear, or other occasions where a luxurious fabric with freedom of movement is desired. Additionally, it can be used for eye-catching accessories like bags or headwear.
CARE:
To maintain the shine and texture of Stretch Velvet, we recommend hand washing or a delicate wash cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees. The fabric should be dried flat, and ironing should be done at a low temperature, preferably from the back, to avoid damaging the pile.
