Romanit Jersey - The perfect blend of elegance and comfort for your garments!
FEATURES:
Romanit Jersey, often referred to as Double Jersey, is a medium-weight, stretchable knit fabric. It is distinguished by its dense, supple, and yet shape-retaining structure. With a fine smooth surface that can be used on both sides, it offers luxurious wearing comfort. Thanks to its robustness, it is less susceptible to pilling than many other jersey fabrics.
SEWING ADVICE:
When sewing Romanit Jersey, elastic stitches such as the zigzag stitch or overlock stitch should be used to maintain the fabric's stretchability. However, due to its stability, it is easier to work with than thinner jersey types. It is advisable to do a test stitch beforehand to determine the ideal sewing settings.
APPLICATION:
Romanit Jersey is ideal for figure-hugging garments like dresses, skirts, trousers, and jackets. Its dense structure makes it perfect for business attire such as blazers or elegant dresses. Its shape stability and smooth drape are also popular for festive occasions or everyday wear. Due to its opacity, it can often be processed without additional lining.
CARE:
Romanit Jersey should be washed with a mild detergent at low to medium temperature. To preserve its quality and color brilliance, it should not be dried in a dryer or bleached. A light ironing at low temperature is usually sufficient.
