Denim – durable, timeless and versatile – perfect for jackets, trousers, skirts and bags!
PROPERTIES:
Denim is a tightly woven cotton fabric with a characteristic twill weave. It is strong, long-lasting and comfortable to wear. Depending on the type, it can be soft and lightweight or heavier and more structured – making it suitable for a wide variety of sewing projects. Classic in indigo or other denim shades, this fabric is a staple in fashion.
SEWING TIPS:
Use a denim needle (size 90–110) and strong thread. Set a stitch length of 2.5–3 mm and use a walking foot for multiple layers if needed. Finish the edges with overlock or zigzag to prevent fraying.
APPLICATION:
Ideal for jeans, skirts, dungarees, jackets, vests, bags, backpacks or accessories like aprons and cases. Also suitable for durable children’s clothing and creative home projects like cushions or beanbags.
CARE:
Washable at 30–40?°C. Pre-wash before sewing, as denim can shrink and bleed. Wash and iron inside out to preserve color.
Please note: Actual fabric colors may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
