Our cotton flannel is soft, warming, and especially skin-friendly – perfect for cozy sewing ideas in autumn and winter!
FEATURES:
Cotton flannel is a woven fabric made from pure cotton that is brushed on both sides. This special finishing process creates an especially soft, slightly fuzzy surface that provides warmth and feels gentle against the skin. The fabric is breathable, absorbent, and temperature-regulating – ideal for clothing that should be both comfortable and functional.
SEWING INSTRUCTIONS:
We recommend using a universal needle (size 80–90) and sturdy sewing thread for cotton flannel. The brushed surface can make the fabric slightly slippery – fabric clips or plenty of pins help with securing layers. Edges should be finished (e.g., with zigzag or overlock) to prevent fraying. Pre-wash before sewing, as the fabric may shrink slightly.
APPLICATIONS:
Perfect for shirts, pajamas, children’s clothing, skirts, or loungewear. Also great for blankets, cushion covers, hot water bottle sleeves, or other home textiles. Thanks to its warmth and softness, cotton flannel is a popular choice for the colder months.
CARE:
Washable at 30–40 °C on a gentle cycle. Air drying is recommended or tumble dry on low heat. Iron inside out at medium temperature. Fabric softener is not necessary.
Please note: Due to individual screen settings, the actual fabric colors may slightly differ from the images shown.
