Corduroy - a timeless, durable, and comfortable fabric known for its distinctive ribbed texture and versatility!
PROPERTIES:
Corduroy is a medium to heavy-weight fabric with characteristic longitudinal ribs or "wales". It's known for its durability and softness, providing a comfortable wearing experience. Furthermore, corduroy is warm and provides good insulation, making it ideal for cooler seasons.
SEWING TIP:
When sewing corduroy, use a universal or jeans needle depending on the fabric's weight. Ensure you maintain the sewing direction along the wales for a consistent appearance. As corduroy tends to shrink when washed, we recommend pre-washing the fabric before sewing.
APPLICATION:
Corduroy is a versatile fabric suitable for a range of projects.
In clothing, corduroy is especially popular for autumn and winter garments like trousers, jackets, vests, and skirts. Its distinctive texture adds a unique touch to any garment. It's also suitable for children's clothing due to its durability and easy care.
In home decor, corduroy can be used for various projects, including cushion covers, curtains, and upholstery. It's also an excellent choice for sturdy bags and accessories.
CARE:
We recommend washing corduroy at 30 degrees and air-drying. Iron the fabric at medium temperature.
Please note: Due to individual screen displays, the actual colors of the fabric may slightly differ from the image.
