This muslin is the perfect fabric for all sewing projects!
PROPERTIES: This cotton muslin, also called double gauze, gauze, burp cloth or drool cloth, is a beautifully loosely woven, thin-threaded cotton fabric that offers a comfortable feel due to its incredibly soft handle. The natural feel makes the fabric wonderful to sew with and feels soft against the skin.
NOTE ON SEWING: Cotton is best sewn with a universal needle. An overlock machine is a quick and easy way to overcast the fabric.
FIELD OF APPLICATION: Cotton mousseline is very comfortable to wear and is therefore ideal for children's and casual wear. It is hard-wearing, easy-care, absorbent, breathable and kind to the skin.
Its beautiful surface and soft drape make it the ideal fabric for blouses, light dresses, skirts and shirts, scarves and tops.
As bed linen, the fabric also feels soft and natural - perfect for a restful sleep!
CARE: Chiffon is very easy to care for and can be washed at 30° in the washing machine. Due to the double layer weave, the fabric keeps its shape and does not need to be ironed. The fabric is not suitable for the dryer.
The cotton fabric should be pre-washed before sewing. Cotton is a natural fibre and may shrink the first time it is washed.
